Baguette gets Rahal deal for Indy

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing will run a second car in this year's Indianapolis 500 for Bertrand Baguette. Bobby Rahal's squad had already announced that it would field Jay Howard in collaboration with Sam Schmidt Motorsports, and has now added an entry in the #30 for Baguette. The 2009 Formula Renault 3.5 champion impressed in an IndyCar rookie campaign with Conquest Racing last year but was unable to put together a full-season deal for 2011.

McMurray earns Martinsville pole

Jamie McMurray made it two pole positions in a row for Earnhardt Ganassi Racing after setting the fastest time in qualifying for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville. McMurray set a quick lap of 19.621 seconds, at an average speed of 95.509 mph, which beat the previous benchmark set by Martinsville favorite Denny Hamlin.

Guerrieri switches to Indy Lights

Esteban Guerrieri will leave the European racing scene this season and switch to Indy Lights with multiple championship-winning team Sam Schmidt Motorsports. The 26-year-old from Argentina was a title contender in Formula Renault 3.5 last year, and raced in Formula 3000 as far back as 2004
