Grand-Master Greger Back to Winning Ways
With a renaissance of the form that sealed him the 2010 iRacing.com World Championship Series Road Racing title, Greger Huttu sailed to a virtually unchallenged pole-to-flag victory at the digital Virginia International Raceway (VIR) to close the gap to current series points leader Klaus Kivek�s.� Starting from pole position, the Team Redline sim racer did have an initial scare as the field headed to Turn One on the opening lap when teammate Luke McLean missed his braking point and breezed underneath Huttu mid-corner en route to the outside tyre-wall.� Unfazed by the near-miss, Huttu settled into to carving-out a lead, but was unable to shake Kivek�s, who shadowed his countryman until the first round of pit-stops. ?I wasn’t sure what to expect from this race; I like the track and [...]

Round Six of the 2011 iRacing.com World Championship Series Road Racing will be broadcast tonight on www.iRacing.com beginning at 6 pm ET (22:00 GMT).� The race will be held over 58 laps of Virginia International Raceway’s 17 turn, 3.27 mile “full” configuration, a track as challenging as it is beautiful. A Day at the Races
Club Indiana took things to a different level in April with a day at the races at the FASTIMES Indoor Karting center on the north side of Indianapolis.�� The event attracted a full field of 20 entrants� (including a couple of interlopers from Club Illinois and a pair of SCCA racers), many of whom got together to start the festivities with lunch at the nearby Chammps Americana restaurant. Bahrain Grand Prix talks continue
Bahrain Grand Prix officials remain in talks with Formula 1 chiefs about a possible rescheduling of their race this year, AUTOSPORT has learned, despite the passing of a May 1 deadline relating to the future of the event. Motor racing's governing body, the FIA, had given Bahrain GP organisers until last Sunday to notify it about whether or not the race could take place this year
Reindler, Owen escape serious injury
V8 Supercar drivers Karl Reindler and Steve Owen were fortunate to escape serious injuries in a huge startline accident in race two at Barbagallo. Reindler stalled his Brad Jones Racing Holden on the grid and was powerless to prevent Owen from ploughing into the back of him at 90mph and causing his car to burst into flames. The 37G accident left Reindler with superficial burns to his hands and face.

Pedrosa content with physical state
Dani Pedrosa declared himself satisfied with his physical condition in Estoril practice after his recent surgery, but felt he had not managed enough running to be confident of his fitness going into the Portuguese Grand Prix weekend. After the Jerez race earlier this month, Pedrosa had an operation to remove a plate from his collarbone - inserted after his Motegi 2010 crash - that was causing a loss of feeling in his arm. He was an encouraging third fastest today at Estoril, though wished he had been able to do more longer runs to fully assess his condition
